Email info@fx5.app. We answer within one business day (Pacific time). Include your store’s .myshopify.com address so we can find your account. Inside the app, every card has a “?” that explains it in three lines, and the Help button lists them all.
Getting started
I have a Shopify store
Open app.buymate.net, enter your store address and choose Install. Then give Buymate something you bought: connect a vendor with a code, or import an invoice from any supplier. Once those products are linked to your store and sales come in, the Attention tab shows what needs a decision.
My vendor gave me a connect code
Enter the code on the first screen or under Vendors → Add a vendor. Your orders from that vendor appear under Received. No Shopify store yet? Tick “use Buymate on this phone”.
My vendor sent an invitation link
Open the link from the email or the QR code on the box and choose Connect. If the link has expired, ask your rep for a connect code.
My supplier is not on Buymate
Under Vendors → Add a vendor, add the supplier by name. Then choose Import invoice on their row: pick the Excel file they sent (.xlsx or the older .xls), a CSV, or paste the rows from a spreadsheet. Check that Style number and Quantity point at the right columns and import. Importing the same invoice again corrects it instead of doubling it, and an invoice you imported by mistake can be removed under Received. Buymate never contacts a supplier you add this way.
How do I reorder from a supplier that is not on Buymate?
Choose Build an order on their row. You see every style you have received from them: enter quantities by color and size, or tap “Same as last time”. Then copy the list into an email or download it as a spreadsheet and send it the way you usually order. Buymate does not send or save it.
I want that supplier to connect
Choose Ask to connect on their row. You get a short note to send your rep yourself. We do not contact them for you, and they learn your store’s name only if you tick the box. If they join Buymate later, your Vendors tab says so at the top, with a place for the code they give you.
Common questions
Buymate asks “Is it this?” about my products
You already have many of your vendors’ styles in Shopify. Buymate links the ones it is sure about and asks about the rest. Answer “Same item” or “No”; it will not ask about that pair again.
A product is linked to the wrong style
On the Attention tab, in Linked products, choose Fix a link, find the product and choose “Not the same item”. Its sales stop counting for that style and the pair is not suggested again. Your product in Shopify is not changed. Calls Buymate made while the wrong product was linked stay on your scorecard as “can’t tell”; when you link the right product, it counts from that day on.
What does “Add to Shopify” fill in?
The title, colors and sizes, a SKU for each, and your cost per item from what you received. When your vendor shares them, also their photos, description, product type and suggested retail price; otherwise the price is 2.5× your cost. This happens once, when the product is created. After that it is yours: Buymate never overwrites a title, price, description or photo you changed.
Will adding products change my live store?
No. “Add to Shopify” creates drafts. Nothing is visible to customers until you publish.
What do Pillar, Focus and Watch mean?
They group your vendors by one number: of what a vendor shipped you, how much has sold. Half or more is Pillar, less than a quarter is Watch, in between is Focus. Only products linked to your store and received more than two weeks ago are counted, so a new delivery does not pull a vendor down.
How does Buymate decide whether a recommendation was right?
Four weeks after a “reorder” or “early winner” call, it checks your sales: the call was right if the style kept selling at half its earlier pace or better, or sold out. A “slow mover” call was right if the style stayed slow. Calls that turned out wrong stay on the list.
Why is there no recommendation for a style I received?
Buymate makes a call only where it can see the sales. A style that is not linked to a product in your store has no sales we can read, so it gets no call, and the Attention tab tells you how many styles are in that state. Add it to Shopify from Received, or answer its “Is it this?” question. If only some sizes are linked, the call uses those sizes and says how many units it left out.
A style sold out and Buymate still says reorder. Why?
Because that is when it matters most. Once nothing is left, this week’s sales are zero, so Buymate looks at how fast the style sold while it was on the rack. If most of what you received sold, and it sold out within about six weeks, it says reorder and suggests a quantity at that pace.
One customer bought several of a style. Why no reorder call?
One order is not a trend. A reorder call needs sales from at least two orders in the week. Until then the style shows as Watch.
How does Buymate decide how many to reorder?
It takes how fast the style is selling and sizes the order for the next four weeks, less what you still have. That total is split by how fast each color sells (the share is shown next to the color on the reorder sheet) and by how the whole style sells across sizes, so a size one color has not sold yet still gets some when it sells in another color. A color that has not sold gets none. It is a starting point: change any number before you send.
What is “A look back”?
Until one of our own calls is four weeks old, there is nothing to grade. So Buymate runs the same test on the sales you already had: what the rules would have said four weeks ago, and how that turned out. These are not calls we made, and the screen says so. It covers reorder and early-winner calls on styles that arrived recently enough that we hold all their sales, and it uses only what was known on that day. Once real calls are graded, the look back goes away.
Why is a style missing from sell-through?
It is not linked to a product in your store yet, so there are no sales to read. Add it to Shopify from Received, or answer the “Is it this?” question for it.
A style shows up in the wrong season
On the Attention tab, in What sells, choose Season and tap the season. You see its styles and where each season came from (your vendor, or the first delivery). Pick the right season next to the style. Only your store’s view changes; your vendor never sees it, and the season comes with your received-orders download.
What counts toward my monthly budget?
Everything that arrived that month: orders from connected vendors, invoices you imported, and purchases you logged by hand. Lines without a cost are left out and counted separately. The sample lines you can load to try the ledger are never counted and are not in your downloads. The month is your store’s month, in your time zone.
Does my vendor see my sales?
No. A vendor sees that you are connected and the orders they already have with you. They never see your sales, your other vendors, or how you rank them.
What happens to my data if I disconnect a vendor?
What you received from them stays in your records. New orders stop arriving.
How do I get a copy of my data?
In the app, Purchases → Your records → Download. You get spreadsheets of what you received, your ledger and your product links on any plan, and the record of our recommendations on Growth (on Free and Essentials, ask us by email).
What happens if I uninstall?
We stop receiving data at once. Forty-eight hours later Shopify asks us to delete the store, and we delete everything in it, including your ledger and received orders. Reinstalling within those 48 hours picks up where you left off. Download your records first if you want to keep them.
How do I delete my data without uninstalling?
Email us from the address on your store and we delete it within 30 days. See the Privacy Policy.
